How was art in the renaissance period based on math?

Im working on renaissance era in most of my classes. This is a project i am working on in math, and I need to know how Art in the renaissance era was based, and developed with math. If you could explain, and or give some websites, it would be extremely helpful!|||Particularly relevant to the “science” of perspective and composition.

Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci are two of the most obvious.

You could also look at the Golden Section and relate that to Fibonacci’s sequence.
