Can i take my birth control pills to get my period a week early?

based on my period schedule, im going to have my period on halloween and i wanted to know if i could take the pills to get my period early. in other words make myself get my period this week instead of next week. anybody know?|||It depends. If you are taking them as a contraceptive method (to prevent pregnancy) - then NO! In order for the pill to work efficiently as a contraceptive it needs to be take at the same time each day, and a change as large of this could put you at risk for pregnancy weeks after.





But, if you are taking them to help with menstrual pain or heaviness and you are not relying solely on the pill to prevent pregnancy, then go ahead and take it a few days earlier....but generally I would try not to because it may make some people feel sick or could mess up you body's schedule.
