Does the alternate base period for unemployment have an extemsion? please help?

I have 3 weesks left before it runs out, just hoping for an extension.|||yes, it keeps getting extended by the politicians. it has turned into a three year welfare program, instead of help to tide one over for a couple months while trying to get a new job. why look for a job if you can get paid for not working? and why go to work before the unemployment runs out?
