Is severance counted as earnings to increase my California unemployment benefit determination?

Does the State of California consider severance payments as "earnings" when determining my weekly unemployment benefit amount? That is, should I until my severance payment is included in my base period before filling an unemployment insurance claim in the hopes that this would increase my weekly unemployment benefit determination? Thank you in advance for your answers!|||In CA, your Base Period is the first 4 of the last 5 quarters. For example, if you were to become eligible for UI benefits this month or in June, they would look at your earnings from:

April-June 2009, July-Sept. 2009, Oct-Dec 2009, Jan.-March 2010 Any earnings from April-June 2010 would not be counted (including severance).

If you waited until July 2010 to begin your claim, then your severance would be included. And it may be worthwhile to wait until July to submit your claim if:

1) you terminated employment in June. If you terminate in April or May, you would be ONLY earning those severance benefits between termination and filing which may lower your benefit level.

2) it would make such a significant difference that it would make up for your having missed benefits during the weeks/months you didn't claim.

And don't forget -- currently benefits are only expected to be extended through December 31, 2010. If you don't claim until July 1, 2010, your benefits will probably only be for the usual 26 weeks CA pays. If you begin your claim prior to July 1, you may be eligible for Tier I benefits - an additional 20 weeks.

So think about this decision carefully and run the numbers under all the scenarios. Of course, it's always possible that you'll get another job before any of these choices even need to be made. Now that would be sweet, wouldn't it?|||The period that they look at does not usually include the last few months of the last job. So the severance pay would not affect your claim if this is how they do things in your state. Maybe you can find out on line which exact months they will be looking at when you file.

Good luck.

Where do I apply for unemployment if I recently changed states?

I have just been laid off of my sales job. It was a swell place to work, but the economy is just not what it needs to be and staff was cut back. Now, I just moved to Texas from DC, so this is a new job. My "base period" was around the same time I started the job (about two weeks into my new job). Most of the base period was my employment in DC, at the job that I left. Do I apply for unemployment in DC or in Texas?|||States have different laws. But if you have earnings in Texas in your base period you should be able to apply in Texas. You can also apply in D.C. over the phone.|||Go online and apply in DC. You may get a partial check, you may have to go to DC for an interview. Just fill it out honestly and see what happens. Since you have a confusing situtaion they may need a personal interview or phone interview. Once it is approved and started it might be done on a transfered basis. Call and ask, but go ahead and file, as long as you are honest they can only deny if you did not make enough in your time frame, or the right tax was not being taken out, or your new job pays too much now, since you are employed.|||I'm thinking you would apply in Texas, since the layoff occurred there, even though most of your income was from DC. Probably you should call and ask. Phone numbers for that are here: http://www.twc.state.tx.us/ui/bnfts/offi鈥?/a>

Can you suggest a period in time for me?

Basically, I enjoy Doll's houses and furnishing them, my Dad has bought new one for my birthday, and said it looks old, like victorian old.

The thing is, as it's victorian looking it's pretty versatile to do, but victorian accessories are super expensive.

Can you think of any other periods in time that are similar to Victorian, but not too modern that I could base the whole house on?|||The 20's, more ornate than now, but not as much as the Victoria Era and with things like telephones, radios, cars. I don't know how much of that you'd have in a doll house.|||Well something to think about is the fact that victorian mansions are still around today. I used to live in a victorian mansion that had been converted to apartments. The place hadn't been updated since the 70's either (this was early 2000's when I was living there). For some reason though, the decor fit. In my own apartment, I had it set up looking like it was out of the 40's. Again, it really fit.

Victorian buildings are extremely versatile. You could get really really creative with this and do whatever you like.|||Maybe you could do it as a creepy, abandoned Victorian. That way you could get the lesser quality Victorian furnishings and use antiquing techniques to make them look neglected.|||Georgian and Edwardian eras preceded and succeeded the Victorian era. How do I calculate if I am eligible for extended benefits?

My unemployment claim started on 07/12/2009. My weekly benefit rate is $253. The eligibility rules state I must have "Have base period wages in the base period of this claim that is equal to at least 40 times your regular benefit rate" If I was to multiply 40 by $253 that would be $10,120?? I guess I have no idea what this means but am assuming I am not eligible?|||It means that you are eligible if you make less that $253/week.

Describe the general trend in acid-base character of the oxides of the elements in the 3rd period: (Na to Ar)?

* please give an example of one acidic oxide and one basic oxide and show with equations how these oxides react with water|||The easy way to remember this is by examples as you indicated.

For Na, the oxide formed is Na2O or Sodium Oxide. This will react with water to form a very basic solution. Next is MgO or magnesium oxide, which react with water to also form a basic solution,

MgO + H2O ----%26gt; Mg(OH)2 (hydroxide makes it a base)

Then on the other side of the period, Sulfur forms SO2 or sulfur dioxide, and Chlorine forms ClO2. Both will react with water to form acidic solutions.

SO2 + H2O ---%26gt; H2SO3 (sulfurous acid)

Thus the general trend is from basic to acidic from left to right in a given period.|||acidity increases from Na to Ar and basicity decreases,

How soon would i start period after stopping Prometrium?

I am on day 31. I am taking Clomid days 3-7 to ovulate, and then Prometrium on days 18-30 to thicken the uterine walls to aid in implantation. Because of it keeping the lining there, i wouldn't have a period until i stop the meds. I stopped last night and now i either have to wait for a period or to see if i'm pregnant. Thanks.|||It is unusual that your dr would have you take the prometrium without first verifying ovulation with basal body temping. Generally, you take the clomid, chart your basal body temps, and after you get 3 days of high temps you start on the prometrium--but I'm sure your doctor has you doing it this way for a reason. Also, it is recommended to take a pregnancy test at 14 days past ovulation before stopping the prometrium and if neg. stop the drug but if pg. continue the drug til a blood test can be done to verify high enough progesterone levels. It generally takes 3 days after stopping for your period to come.

Why is my pregnancy test positive but my period started last night?

I am 9 days late.I write down my dates in my journal but March is not written down.so,My nurse said to base it on my last cycle which was feb.14th .I took the 1st test yesterday evening and it was negative.I decided to take the second test an hour later. It WAS POSITIVE. I woke up 3 am with lower back pains.went to potty and I started my period. Can I pee on another test although I am bleeding?|||Well, it sounds like you took a couple of tests and got different results each time. There is a possibility that a test can have a false negative or false positive. It seems like you need to do another one. I think you can take a test while your bleeding - I'm guessing the test looks for certain pregnancy hormones to trigger the response. You could be having a miscarriage as well - something to think about. Or you could just be having your period. I say take a few more tests though because some women have had periods throughout their pregnancy and that's the reason they didn't even know they WERE pregnant. Better to be safe than sorry. Do the test as many times as you need to until you are sure enough to schedule or not schedule an ob/gyne appointment.|||The false positive rate on pregnancy tests is really low, so if you got a positive result and used the test correctly (i.e. you didn't read it after the time interval in the directions), it seems pretty likely that you are pregnant.

Bleeding in early pregnancy is not always a sign of miscarriage, but it can be. It's time to go get checked out by a doctor.|||Could be a false positive or you are bleeding while pregnant, not uncommon. Wait a week and test again, or go to the doctor.|||you spot when your pregnant. so you may be pr pregnant but then again it could be a false positive since the first one did turn out negative. if it is heavy like a normal period then you are not pregnant. but if it is light, you are prolly pregnant. but don't worry that your nine days late because when you have sex it can delay your period.

When do you think I will get my period?

Hey! So I was just wondering when you think i will get my period based on this info:

so i'm 12 years old, around 5 foot 2 or 5 foot 3 feet tall, and i weigh 98 pounds. I have breast buds (not big boobs but not tiny ones eather) and big nipples. When people bang into my boobs it hurts. I have pubic hair. I have been getting discharge in my undies. Thanks so much%26lt;3|||Probably not for at least 2 years. Typically girls who have more weight %26amp; bigger boobs get their earlier. When you are older %26amp; loss a lot of weight you can actually skip your period.

Your height %26amp; nipple size have nothing to do with that system. Your discharge really doesn't tell you too much because a discharge is your body's way of cleaning itself.|||Well I'm 13,I just got my first period in august. Credit card payments don't have a cooling off period, as it was not the seller that gave you credit.

Thanks.|||I too take Clomid and Prometrium for the same reason. I also had a previous miscarriage. However, I take Prometrium from day 16 until I start my period or until the end of my first trimester if I become pregnant. I have not heard of anyone just taking it until day 30 and stopping. Prometrium has never delayed my period coming. (Before switching to Prometrium, I use to take Prochieve, which was a progesterone cream that had to be inserted vaginally. That was messy and usually delayed my periods for up to 6 days.)

Tender nipples are a good early sign of pregnancy. When I was pregnant, I had some light cramping around the time of my expected period. I think it can be associated with implantation. Sounds like you could be pregnant. You might want to discuss with your doctor the option of taking the Prometrium until the end of your first trimester. I would hate for you to have another miscarriage if it can be avoided by continuing the Prometrium. It prevented me from having another miscarriage and I had a full term healthy baby girl. Best wishes to you.|||I know this isn't the answer you wanted... but everyone is different.. I think you'll have to wait and see.

Is military housing on base allocated irrespective of rank or segregated by rank?

When my husband finishes his regimen of Infantry training he will be assigned to a permanent Army Post for a period of zero to 12 months, before the unit he is assigned to deploys. I'm trying to figure out if there is a glimmer of hope that I and our newborn son (he will be about 2 weeks old when my husband graduates, I already know the gender of the little cutie) can live with him rather then remaining home. As of now, I and junior will live with my parents in law. I'm thinking that I might be able to apply for on base housing when I find out where my sweetheart (opps husband!!) will be assigned. Also when they tell him where he will be assigned, do they give him paperwork so I can send a copy to the Base Housing Office? My husband is currently a Private and I don't expect he will be any higher in rank when we need the housing. I spoke to my dad abt living on the Post and he's ok with that but very negative abt off post. He's a Police Detective @ a little paranoid (lol lol).|||There is a waiting list for housing , most base housing is no longer ran by the Military it is contracted out , I would wait unti lhe gets orders and its clear you have internet then find the base in which he will PCS to then look up housing and find out IF you can put your name on the list before getting there,

Housing is broken down by rank as far as sections , since he is a PVT you guys wil llive in an area on post with E1- E5's.

Housing is just housing depending on where you will be stationed.. you will meet people who are very nice and meet those who have alot of issues.. my suggestion keep to yourself and dont share personal business with anyone other than your family.

Good luck!

Armywife %26amp; Soldier|||It is normally segregated by rate/rank, and waiting lists can be rather long.|||Base housing is assigned according to grade/rank with the officers and enlisted having their own housing communities. The highest grade/rank the better possibility of obtaining base housing. The lowest grades normally do not get base housing. Sorry.|||Base housing is segragated by rank.

Usually they have :

Lower enlisted housing. Like apartments or town houses

NCO housing . Duplex's or singles

Staff NCO housing. Singles.

Warrent Officer housing. Duplex, apartment or single.

Officer housing is also divided by rank, Jr Officers, field grade officers and Col's row.

Off base housing can go from safe, to not safe. It's just like housing in any other city.

As a PVT. more than likely, you will go on a waitin list for post housing.

So you either live off post, or wait untill housing becomes avail.

MP's do not patrol off post.

As soon as he gets his orders, you can put your name on the housing list.|||Base housing is generally grouped by rank, although it can vary a bit if there is a need for a larger house with a lower rank family. Getting military housing takes time. Your husband wil have to be the one to submit all the paperwork..you can't do it unless he is deployed and you have a power of attorney. It is not difficult and should be able to be done as soon as he has official orders after he is finished all of his training. The wait, especially for units for lower enlisted, can be long..anywhere up from 6-18 months. Once you know where he is going, you can contact the housing office to get a general idea of time frame, but I would plan on having to live off base for close to a year. Off base housing is just like renting a place anywhere else..some neighborhoods are better than others. How the neighborhood closest to the base is depends on a lot of things and again, until you know where he is going it will be hard to find out. Some bases (usually ones in urban areas that have limited space) do have "off post base housing". Living in these units is the same as base housing..everyone will be military, either the base or the private company running housing handles repairs, etc. Generally, these housing units are not in a gated community and are not patrolled by MP"s...it is just like renting off base. Unfortunately, even if you find a place off base that is ina good area and that you can afford, there is a very real likelihood that you will not be on base before your husband has to deploy. This is part of military life. If you are not comfortable with the idea of living alone, than I would wait until after he deploys. Financially, you may not have much choice...housing allowances for lower ranks are not high and if I recall, you and your husband are without a car, which will make it tough for him to get permission to live off base.|||None of the housing on any base is what you'd call wonderful, but I never had a horrible housing unit either. It's split up by rank just as many people said and waiting periods can be long. However, if your timing is good and housing is available, they may be able to bump you and hubby up a notch because Uncle Sam would rather have you in housing than pay you any dough for off base rentals. Don't rely on that, but it's happened to me.

Overseas, at Zweibrucken AB, Germany (now closed) we had base housing but it was off base and the Security Police did patrol it but that was overseas.

Your hubby can put your name on the housing list the moment he knows where he's going. Like others have said, you might go straight into housing or it could be awhile. Good luck.|||Hi again! Housing is allocated according to rank - but it depends on the post as to how integrated things are. Some are strictly segregated and some not so much. You would be on a lower enlisted two bdrm wait list (possibly a three bedrm is you're lucky there's lots of housing available) and it just depends on how much housing is available as to how long the wait would be. Usually 3 %26amp; 4 bdrm lists are the longest. Hubby would get orders with your names/housing allowed on them and he would have to be the one to sign up when he arrives at his duty station. You can't do it until he has orders or without a general power of attorney - it's a fact that wives have very little ability to sign up for anything without that! Some allow online registration now but he would still have to produce the orders when he gets there. If you have anything to ship he would have to send you copies and you go to the nearests post/base transportation office with 10 copies to schedule said shipment.

Yes there is a glimmer of hope but you can't find out anything until you know where he's going-- for example: Fort Irwin right now has a surplus of housing and you would probably get right on or wait less than three months. Fort Riley on the other hand has extensive waits at present - I don't know for E-2 thru E-4 but E-7/8 is almost two years. Once you know where he's going you can look up that post's website and get an idea - however it won't be totally accurate until he signs in as it can say 3-6months on the web and you get there and they offer you a house in 3 days. Part of the adventure of being a military wife!

Most military towns are safe as long as you don't live right off post (girly bars, pawn shops). Again it just depends - you can look up crime demographics online though. There are often discussion boards where you can chat with ladies in the area as well - militarywives.com; myarmylifetoo.com; sgtmoms.com to name a few.

Blessings!|||Housing goes with your army rank ( and thus $$$allotment, which is not much for a private). But check with the base housing unit, I'm sure they'll be glad to answer|||You've got pretty good advice on base housing so I'll answer a bit for off base. Off base you're going to be renting just as if you were a civilian except for a couple of things. You should stop by the base housing office first and check for any advice on in town rentals. They may have a list of people who prefer to rent to military and they may also have a list of properties or management companies to be aware of or stay away from. It's important to find that information out so that you don't get stuck in a lease that's bad for military members.

Also, check with them on correct wording for the Military Clause in your lease. That clause needs to be added to your lease because military orders can change unexpectedly and you may have to move to a new base before your lease is up. Having the clause added makes things easier if that does happen.

Some sites you can use to check base housing and communities around the military base:

http://www.rentsearch.com/

You can also search for local real estate companies and property management companies for smaller complexes and individual rentals.

Bear in mind that some areas look really good when you first visit them. Before you sign anything you should check back at night. I had a few friends wish they'd done that as the character of the area changed and they always felt unsafe at night until they could move out.

But usually living out in town is just a different choice than living on base. Some families like the feeling of getting away from the job every day. Others like the feeling of a military community. Personally, being young and a new mom I'd recommend trying for the base housing first and then looking for a family friendly rental if it's not available.

How accurate is an ultrasound, Based on first day of last period I am 7 weeks, ultrasound says 5, why is this?

I am pregnant with my second child. My first pregnancy and delivery went awful. At the time of my last ultrasound the ultrasound dr measured my daughter to only be the size of a 36 week old which put my due date from February 25th to March 15th. Following that ultrasound I started having severe hypertension and only 2 weeks later started showing protein in my urine. I was then given an emergency c-section to only get help syndrome immediately after delivery. As far as my daughter's health she was fine other than the fact she had lost oxygen from the hypertension. She is now a year old and extremely healthy, but still small she only weighs 22lbs. At delivery she was only 5lbs and 18 1/4 inches. I just had my first ultrasound for my new baby. From my first day of last period I should be 7 weeks pregnant and due on April 2, 2008. I did not mistake the first day of my last period this time or the last. The ultrasound however shows the baby to only be 5 weeks. How is this? Considering my first baby was very petite is it possible that this baby is petite at 5 weeks. I am also high risk %26amp; seeing a high risk doctor, will he make me carry the baby to what the ultrasound deems as full term even if I run into the complications I had in the first pregnancy? I am very worried, I don't understand why even if I get the first day of my last period right I am still 2 weeks off. I also hope that this child is not suffering IUG in early term. Anyone know about this?|||Hun don't stress too much over date. It depends on when you ovulate as to how far along you are. I'm actually due about 2 weeks earlier then my dates say since I ovulated really early during the cycle I got pregnant in.

Also don't worry about your baby being "petite" My son is the same way yet extremely healthy.

If you run into the same complications with your blood pressure they will take the baby by c-section again if they can't bring your pressure down with mag sulfate. They are not going to risk loosing both of you due to seizures or stroke which is what happens when pre-eclampsia is not responded to aggressively. They may end up having you deliver early. There is no real way to know ahead of time if this will develop again.

I had HIP with my son before the third trimester started. I'm now 27 weeks with my daughter and no sign of a rise in blood pressure yet. Please do your best not to stress over it.

also I wouldn't worry about IUG this early. They'll probably do another US very soon and this baby will more then likely measure the appropriate amount of growth.|||i asked the same question about a week ago. according to my last period i'm supposed to be12 weeks right now but the ultrasound said i am 9 weeks. (weeks adjusted for the time that has passed since the ultrasound) . an RN told me that the ultrasound meassured from conception so u would want to go by ultrasound since the other method of figuring a due date is less accurate. plus from all the things i have been reading and watching on the discovery chanel tell me its too early for your baby to be a bit too small for its age. dont worry too much right now but ask ur doc at ur next ob visit.|||the ultrasound is correct, they are very very accurate if taken this early in pregnancy. there is no such thing as IUGR this early. if you develop preeclampsia again, you will usually not go to term. no reputable doctor would make you go to term if you indeed had preeclampsia.|||your Dr counts from the first day of your LMP but remember ovulation usually only happens 14 days after LMP that will give you a 2 week difference. I had a 3 weeks difference because my cycle was 35 days. Hope this helps you. Please don't fret as it won't help you or your baby. Congratulations and good luck|||for better info.. you should not figure conception from the first day of your last cycle.. conception can happen from that date until 3-5 days before your missed period.. and sperm lives 5-8 days inside your body.

On that info and the ultrasound.. it gives an estimate.. as its too early to show signs of slow growth.. i wouldnt worry..

I assume you are HR because of your previous delivery.. are you considering VBAC?

Also below is a website for IUGR and i hope it helps..|||It is too early for the baby to be too small or too big. That is why the OB's use the early ultrasound to determine the due date instead of the date of your last period. Not all women have a perfect 28 day cycle so they don't know when ovulation occurred. My due date based on the ultrasound and date of last period were 4 days apart and the OB used the ultrasound date even though I knew when I ovulated which was 14 days after my last period.|||Exactly the same thing happened to me. By my LMP I am due December 12th, but the ultrasound says I'm due December 23rd. It just means you ovulated a little differently than they expected. The earlier the ultrasound, the more likely the due date is accurate. Will not impact anything in a negative way so don't worry about that.

Have we entered a new geologic period, based on man's effect on the planet?

Should "Anthropocene" be the new geologic period we now live in based on the noticable effects the past few generations have left on the planet?

Here is an article about the new name and period we might have created;

http://dotearth.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/0鈥?/a>|||If that's what you want to call it, fine. Nomenclature is kinda arbitrary anyway.|||Yep, I actually read about this in a book I'm reading by Fred Pearce. It's an appropriate name for an epoch in which human influences are dominating factor in climate change.|||we are changing slightly but it is not all have to do with man's affect on the planet. it is not very well known, but the ozone layer actually healed it self and no one noes why. so it is the way nature works and you have to adapt or die that is the way it is|||I see the climatologist wackos are trying to take over geology. Why don't they stick to their own fields of alleged expertise?|||Well, I would say it happened when we started modifying the land all over the globe. I dont think it has anything to do with global warming. Dont forget the fact that our population is the most dominant thing on the earth. We all need food and land to live on, as well as natural resources that need to be dug up. Our marks will be left on the planet, and those are what make up this epoch. The planet has never seen any species spread so quickly, and dominate so quickly until now(or 200 years ago, whenever you agree that our spread was unstoppable).

How am I gonna deal with my period in a rural village in Tanzania this summer? TMI I know but its a problem.?

I'm going to work in an orphanage at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro for a couple weeks this summer, but I'll be on my period. Should I just avoid the trip all together? I'm not sure how good the plumbing and stuff will be considering the average yearly income per capita is $248. Will it be worth it?|||I agree with taking your own supplies; if it's only a couple weeks then the smaller tampons are easier. If you use pads; those are available in almost any shop. The plumbing may not be great, although Mt. Kilimanjaro is enough of a tourist area that it likely has all the modern facilities.

(You can also find toilet paper at the little shops; I recommend keeping a little in your bags around that time of the month.)|||If you have enough time, go to your doctor and ask them to put you on a birth control pill, preferably Seasonique or Seasonale or another one that allows you to go 3 months without a period. If you get the monthly pills, simply skip the off week and start the next pack. This way you won't get your period at all while you are there.

If this isn't an option, just take tampons/pads, and lots of baby wipes. The baby wipes will help you stay fresh and comfy even without running water and such.|||Well the locals manage. Women have done since time began.

Take with you your usual product, tampons are easiest. The other female staff will soon tell you the procedure. Probably sanitary products are burnt on open fires or incinerators, the same as all the other combustible refuse.

I certainly would not advise that you use medication to alter your cycle, every drug has a side effect even though it is not always evident at the time.

Have you considered :- Do they have toilet paper?|||Just take enough supplies for the entire time. You know how much you usually go through. Just make sure you have enough for the whole time and a bit more.

And even in those poor countries, many of the women use modern products for this.

Also my daughter has a device for women called a "freshette" or something like that to allow women to pee standing up. Because sometimes in these countries the toilets are disgusting.

Does being a vegetarian effect the time i will start my period?

i am a vegetarian (well, kind of, i still eat seafood and eggs) and i havent started my period. all of my friends have, and they eat meat ALL the time. even though i am a vegitarian i still get all the nutrients i need, and i am just barely over wieght, but besides that i am realy healthy. so does me being veggi effect what time i will start my period, or is it just based on genes and your natural start time? any input would be welcome.|||Some people believe that the horemones given to cows, chicken and pigs to make them develope faster has an effect on the onset of puberty. This has not really been proven, it is just a theory right now. I remember when i was about11-12 and we all thought it would just be so awesome to start our periods....then it happened! Don't be too anxious to start, you are not missing anything by not having a period, just trouble and pain :) Good Luck

I remember feeling like that too, like for some reason other people perceive you to be less mature simply because you have not started your period yet. But that is just dumb! Like you said, you could be TONS more mature and even years older and not have started your period.|||i'm perty much vegetarian too.. and you should be as happy as possibly that you havent started (its not the funnest) and it's pretty much based on genes.|||no. being a vegetarian has no effect on menstrual patterns. i'm a vegetarian and my periods are just fine. all girls start at different times. dont worry.|||i dont eat any meat and i started mine when i was 12/13..... dont worry..... every1 gets theirs at different times...... and some animals r fed hormones and then when ppl eat the animals and get those hormones as well so the can hit puberty alittle faster......|||i'm a veggi too (almost 13) and i don't have my period either...but it's about genes and stuff. also look at how tall you are, would you like to be that big when you're an adult? b/c after you have your period you don't grow much more...|||i was 13 when i got mine but no i dont think being a vegetarian will affect your period.

How soon should I get my period after starting metformin?

I am 20 and haven't had a period since January. I actually never have periods unless I take birth control or provera. My doctor believes I have PCOS based on acne and absence of period. I am not trying to get pregnant. She started me off at 500 mg and I will be going back to her in about 2 months.|||The metformin is to help with insulin resistance known in P.C.O.S. Once your blood glucose levels have gotten better things may start clearing up for you and I found in myself anyways about a month after I was on metformin I got my period back about a month after being on it (was still very irregular for about a year but now almost on a 30 day track). If you are able to keep tabs on your glucose (a blood meter) and watch your diet (try a gluten free one) you will almost be sure you will find major improvements.|||Isn't metformin a diabetes medicine?|||I've heard it generally takes about two weeks. Is it healthy or normal not to have your period for a month?

i have not had my period for a month. I have not had sex or even gone past first base. I am very active and that's why i think i am not on my period, my mom is freaking out so a little help would be nice. thanks?

ps. im 14 and not on birth control, duhh!|||You are young. It happens sometimes for no real reason. Your mum shouldn't be freaking out - That's just plain silly. If you haven't had sex don't worry. Stress on its own can upset your periods - Your mum should know that. Being active, stressed about schoolwork, diet etc. It is healthy. It is normal. Don't worry. Talk to a professional, ie. nurse if you are worried at all.|||Your mother freaking out is not helpful. All women miss the occasional period, don't worry about it.|||Sometimes you are gonna skip your period every once in a whuile so that is normal!!|||Yeah its perfectly normal :)

How do you know your probation period has been finished and you are a permanent employee?

do they have to put it in writing? I had my 'appraisal' after 3 months of start date, but we could not agree to my work hours and we meant to revise it after a month. There was another meeting-no consensus. Now I want hand my notice and do not know what my notice period is. Contract states a month when permament, a week on probation.

I can work until the end of month only as have other job secured.

What do you think I should put in my letter? I think employers should provide another contract (permanent) or send a letter confirming end of probation period. Am I right? UK based|||There is no legal definition of a probation period - it is entirely dependant on the initial contract you signed, however, you should not pass through the probationary period by default and your permanant appointment should have been confirmed in writing. If this has never been done, again, dependant on your contract, you should still only be bound by the probationary period - which it appears was extended by the on-going meetings/discussions you mention.|||it lasts 3 months or 13 weeks. you should get a letter to let you know whether or not you passed. if not go to the hr office to find out|||As they have not confirmed your completion of the probation period in writing then you can argue you need only give one month. They may argue that as the probation period was x weeks and that time has passed you have passed your probation period.

If you do leave and they say not sufficient notice they probably wont do anything, they could sue for any losses they incur but they also have a legal duty to mitigate those loses and it is very rare that a company will sue, usually only if your a senior person, director etc! Thus resign giving one week and leave at end of the week.|||if you havn,t had a full contract of employment then one week is all you need to give im sure so hand it in now and write explaining why you are only giving a week and make sure you keep copies of all corespondence in case they try ot get clever|||Usually a probation period is six months, however it does not mean that you have no rights during this period. In fact companies should follow the same procedures in terms of disciplinarys and dismissals that they would with an employee who had passed the probation period. How can I check validity #of gallons used over 3 month period water meter hooked to 3/4 in pipe, max 120 psi?

(Actually the water company says its 453,000 gallons over 20 day period but the billing is based on 3 month period (1400 dollars!). Leak detected at water meter box 2 hours after new meter placed(dials spinning out of control-water turned off, plummer fixed).|||Jacy, you skipped the intermittent part of intermittent flow. While your numbers are correct, they assume that water is flowing 24 hrs/day. Take away 9 hours for work and commuting, another 7 for sleep, and that's 8 hours that the house is occupied. Assume running a dishwasher every 2 days, that's an average of 1/2 hr per day. Shower everyday, max 1/2 hr per day, washing hands and flushing toilet, realistically about 10 min/day. Total there's really only about 1.5 - 2 hours of water use daily.

Other calculations:

20days*24hrs/day*60min/hr=28,800 minutes if the meter was running continually. 453000/28800 = 15.7 gal/min

That's a gallon every 3.8 seconds! That's way more than standard household use, and it's continuous 24/7 for 20 days. Tell your utility company their equipment was defective and so best case they can't charge you, worst case they charge you the average of your previous bill.

453,000 gallons * (1ft^3/7.48gal) = 60651 ft^3 = 104,650,000 in^3

Area of 3/4" pipe = pi*.75^2/4 = .442in^2

Total linear flow = in^3 / in^2 = 104,650,000 / .442 = 237,000,000 in

Flow in Feet = 237,000,000 in / 12in/ft = 19,750,000 ft

Flow rate in Ft/Min = 19750000 / 28800 = 686 ft/min = 11ft/sec

That's really fast!|||If you live in an average size house with perhaps six

fixture units:(shower head, bathroom faucet, toilet, kitchen

faucet, clothes washer, and dishwasher), with each

providing and intermittent flow of 5 gals/min, then your

total water demand is: 6(5) = 30 gals/min.

This demand over a 20 day period will be:

30gal/min(60min/h)(24h/day)(20day) = 864,000 gal

Therefore, the water company is likely to be correct.

What time period does Legend of the Seeker take place?

I know that it is during sort of the medieval era but what is the numerical time period?

Also, is this show based of any sort of Legend or is it mostly fiction?|||the legend of the seeker is based on an epic fantasy series of 11 novels written by terry goodkind called the sword of truth series. the story is set in a fictional middle age period world not that much unlike our own which consists of the new world (which consists of the westland, the midlands, and d'hara) and the old world (which is not as thoroughly described except that it is vastly larger than the new world, and is under the control of a sect known as the empirial order). it is never stated in the show, or the books of exactly what time period they are in.

in fact, the only reference to time mentioned in the books are references to major past events. for example richard rahl (aka richard cypher) is the said to be the first war wizzard born in 3 thousand years during which time a great war between the old world and new world had come to an end. they also mention nearly 20 years have passed since a war between d'hara and the rest of the new world which ultimately lead to the creation of the magical barriers to separate all three parts of the new world.

the series and the tv show are not based on any legends, only the story written by terry goodkind. the tv show differs in many ways from the books so the name of the tv show was changed slightly to reflect the differences between the two.

in the sword of truth universe there are various creatures of magic like witchwomen, confessors, wizzards, dreamwalkers, and others that are encountered throughout the books.

for the best summary of the book series, you can go to wikipedia at the link i post below. it will give you much more in depth look at the plot and characters involved.

Why did my o.b. do an ultrasound to date my pregnancy when i know exact date of last period?

im 16 weeks pregnant and when i went in for my first prenatal, about 9 weeks along, she sent me to get an ultrasound even though i knew the first day of my last missed period - and when the ultrasound results came back, i wasn't as far along as i would have been based on my period. i thought all pregnancies were dated from first day of last period if that information was known. So even though i know the date, do i calculate my pregnancy by what she says, or what i know?|||im in the uk and ultra sounds are used to date pregnancies rather than your last period as women can ovulate later.

my dating scan and my period were 3 weeks out i had ovulated later than i thought|||It's just something doctors do. Not all babies grow at the same rate, and just because you know the date of your last menstrual doesn't mean that you know the date that you ovulated. Go by what the doctor says. |||That's standard procedure.

LMP is not the absolute accurate way to date a pregnancy.

Early ultrasounds can give more realiable due-dates.

But, this is only true in the beginning.

What she did was normal.

You should always trust the 1st trimester "dating" ultrasound more than your LMP|||They do this to make sure because you could have ovulated sooner or later in the cycle and this is just to exact the measurements. It can be crucial that they have the right timing when it comes to doing certain prenatal tests during only certain periods during your pregnancy. Use the date the doctor gives you. A Period is how they estimate a due date but isnt always correct, the ultrasound due date can be more accurate.|||Because going by LMP leaves 2-3 weeks of guessing for the due date, an ultrasound is more accurate, my doctor didn't do one when I was pregnant with my daughter and I ended up spending a extra week in the hospital because she was late according to my LMP, just go with what your doctor is telling you to do|||What she says. Ultrasounds in the first trimester are the most accurate for dating. A lot of women find out they are either further or earlier then they thought they were because nobody knows for a fact when they ovulated and the time the concieved. I'd go buy the doctors dates. |||it is the most accurate because when I went for my ultrasound according to my LMP I should of been 8 weeks come to find out I was only 6 wks 4 days.

Just a rumour or is it actually possible to delay your period using the pill ?

me and my boyfriend of 6 months have finally decided to take it to 4th base

he lives in birmingham so we see eachother about 1nce a week?

we planned to do it a week today but i think im on my period then. is it true you can take one contraceptive ( the everyday pill) to delay it?

if so how?|||Skip the sugar pills and keep taking the active pills. You don't get a real period while on the pill anyway. But judging by your grammar, you're probably too young to contemplate sex just yet.|||It only works if you've been on the pill for awhile. Basically you skip the sugar pills and go straight on to the next hormone pill in the next packet and keep taking it. If you're on triphasil then it's best to skip the first colour hormone pill and go on to the second one and keep taking it straight through. The reason for this is the first week of hormone pills on a triphasil system is low dose and might not be enough to delay your period.

My GP said it was fine to skip a period, no dramas at all and as long as you keep taking the pill you're protected against pregnancy. Don't forget you really need to be on the pill for at least a month before you have protection and ALWAYS use a condom.

Good luck!

Thanks!|||My 4 babies were all born past their due dates by 9 days, 11 days, 5 days, and 7 days. With the first 3, my due dates were strictly based on the date of my last period since they were born before the advent of "routine" ultrasounds. I never had even one ultrasound with my first 3 pregnancies. My 4th baby was a surprise, conceived quite unexpectedly when I was reliably taking birth control pills for 11 years. My due date was given to me based only on an ultrasound since I had been having what seemed like normal periods even though I was unknowingly pregnant. The ultrasound showed I was 17 weeks along at the time! I subsequently had 11 more ultrasounds since I was high risk with my age (38) plus developed Gestational Diabetes. When I was estimated to be 41 weeks I still had no sign of impending labor so I was given a prostoglandin gel insertion with the hopes it would get my cervix to think about effacing and dilating. Instead I had a bad reaction to it and ended up delivering her just 7 1/2 hours later. I always thought their estimation was off and I think I should have probably gone another week with her, at least. Supposedly I was at 41 weeks and she only weighed 6 pounds 14 ounces, the smallest of my babies.|||I have very short cycles (21 days). I got pregnant the first month I was trying and found out very early I was pregnant.

This helped in calculating the due date. My daughter was born the day before her due date.|||he was born 2 days after the due date but could have gone longer prob.|||well my babies size matched perfectly to my Last period, however bub was born exactly 3 weeks early so now i dont know how accurate they really were.|||My estimated DD based on last Cycle was April 2, 2009... our son was born naturally on March 22... so much for due dates. Your little one will come when he/she is ready :)|||Mine was dead on.

We had been TTC for 9 months so by the time I found out I was pregnant and went to the doctor to confirm, I knew the exact date of my last period and the exact date I ovulated and conceived.

She gave my estimated due date to be May 12. I went into labor on that day, and delivered May 13.

My son is just like his parents: On time, all the time! LOL|||my first daughter it was 3 days after my EDD and my second came 3 weeks early|||My cycle has always been very irregular so I never expected the LMP thing to work for me. My first pregnancy, I was right. My LMP was April 21, 2007. My due date was April 21, 2008. Makes no sense right? My doctor told me I was already 18 weeks pregnant when I went in for my first prenantal checkup (1 week after a home pregnancy test) in August of 2007. I laughed at her. And the date didn't make much of a difference anyway- he was born March 28.

My second pregnancy, was right on target. I went for my ultrasound when I was 11 weeks 4 days based on my LMP. That turned out to be amazingly on target. The ultrasound had me measuring exactly 11 weeks, 4 days.

When should I expect my period?

im trying to predict my period based on cervical mucos, it was the thickest sunday dec.7 and dec.8 these dates are 12 and 13 days since my last period, so would that mean my period will come 12 to 13 days after those dates?|||it's not december hun.. lol it's november

and CM is only good for when TTC ( tracking ovulation mucous) period's are unpredictable if you do not know the length of them.

Why did the English use Sicily as a naval base during the Napoleonic period + how did this help Sicily?

What would the advantages/disadvantages of the English/British being in Sicily in 1805 -1815 be?

And why were they there in the first place?

Were there short term and long term benefits to Sicily because of English occupation there?

Are there differences in Sicily today because of it?

Any help would be much appreciated|||Sicily is a strategic location within the Mediterranean Sea. From there they would be able to monitor and respond to any action going on the Napoleonic fleet that they couldn't watch from across the English channel.

I don't think the pros and cons of a foreign military on your native soil has changed much since then. On the pro side, it is a stimulus to your economy and links to outside resources.

On the con side, throughout the world and history, military people are notoriously combative and offensive, both by training and displacement factors of being so far from home. Problems include violent confrontations locals, illegitimate children, rape, drunkenness, and inter-racial issues. At that time, the English and Sicilians still saw themselves as radically different races and there was still no National Geographic or TV documentaries to give commoners any cultural awareness.|||Being under British protection the Bourbon Sicily did not receive any of the liberal reforms that Bonapartist Naples enjoyed under Murat, however the Bourbon rule did provoke in Sicily a taste for revolution.

In the longer term when Garibaldi and the Thousand landed in Sicily in 1860 they were under the guns of two Royal Navy warships which dissuaded the Bourbon ships from attacking the landing. The ships were actually there to protect the source of Marsala wine which was valued in Britain at the time not to protect the landing, from this start Garibaldi went on to unify Italy under Victor Emmanuel.

What is a novel based in the the Reconstruction period after the Civil War?

I need to do a book report on any novel that takes place after the civil war (preferably during reconstruction) and before WWI. Know of any?|||I haven't read it, but I found:

"A Fool's Errand: A Novel of the South During Reconstruction" by Albion W. Tourgee:

There had been rumors in the air, for some months, of a strangely mysterious organization, said to be spreading over the Southern States, which added to the usual intangibility of the secret society an element of the grotesque superstition unmatched in the history of any other.... Here and there throughout the South, by a sort of sporadic instinct, bands of ghostly horsemen, in quaint and horrible guise, appeared, and admonished the lazy and trifling of the African race... -from "Chapter XXVII: A New Institution" Subtitled "A Novel of the South During Reconstruction," this 1879 bestseller, by a participant in that great social experiment, is the barely fictionalized account of the career of a Northern lawyer in North Carolina after the Civil War. A champion of the poor and landless of any race, and a keen observer of the dilemmas facing uneducated Negroes in the postwar period, Tourg茅e offers us an important eyewitness account of one of the most tumultuous eras of American history, one that continues to influence the course of the American experiences of race and class to this day.

What time period is Edward Scissorhands based in?

I thought it would be the 1950's but im not sure.|||I think the idea is to not set exactly a time period, but rather the attitude or feel of them. In that context, the mansion, castle or whatever where Edward's Father lived could have come straight from the 1800's, but the main thing is to emphasize the contrast between Edward's procedence and the suburban environment he is "transplanted" to, perhaps to make us notice how odd this character is immerse in a... (ahem!) normal neighborhood, or rather, one that stereotypically represents the values of such a place.

We're only dating...he found this apartment thats off base. But since were not married would I not be able to move in with him even though its off base? Or do you HAVE to get married period?|||If it's off base you can move in and it doesn't matter if you are married or not.

The domestic legislation of the New Deal period was based on the idea that the federal government should?

1. favor big business over labor and farming

2. assume some responsibility for the welfare of people

3. own and operate the major industries of the country

4. require local communities to be responsible for social welfare programs|||the New Deal was an abysmal failure. almost all of today's economists agree that Franklin Roosevelt extended the Great Depression at least 7 years longer than it needed to last. the New Deal failed because it interfered with natural market forces that would've corrected themselves sooner than later. for example, for every government job that was created, more jobs were lost in the private sector, which were the only jobs that could've helped revive the economy.

today, Obama is taking us down the same path that Roosevelt took in 1933. also, for the record, FDR was not a good president. he was an aspiring dictator who ruled for longer than what was gentlemanly (4 terms) and tried to circumvent the Constitution by packing the Supreme Court with Democrats (1937 Judiciary Reorganization Bill). he was a communist sympathizer who cozied up with Stalin and allowed the Soviets to take East Berlin. finally, his internment of 110,000 Japanese-Americans was one of the worst civil rights violations in U.S. history.|||2. I suppose this is part of a multiple choice test, the other answers can be eliminated.

1. can be eliminated as the new deal rationed labor and put in place farm price supports.

3. can be eliminated for the most part, exception for the Tennessee Valley Authority. The New Deal was regulatory, not socialist.

4. can be eliminated because the New Deal was federal legislation and by and large was administered by the federal government.

What time period does the play "I ought to be in pictures" by neil simon, take place in?

not when it was written but what time period was it based off of?|||Well, if it has anything to do with Neil Simon's own life, then the teenage daughter would have been born in the 1950's or 60's, which is when Simon became a father to his two biological children during his first marriage.

However, those children might have been about Libby's age or even somewhat older in 1979, when Simon premiered the play, a few years before it became a film. As I recall, the film doesn't suggest an earlier time period than 1982, when it was released.

Simon's clearly autobiographical trilogy begins with "Brighton Beach Memoirs" set in 1937. He was born in 1927.

Does anyone know of an online game based in the Medeival period?

What are the absolute temperatures for the base periods for each of NASA's GISS, HadCRUT3, and UAH?

Well, I already know NASA's, at least the number they cite is 14.0藲C.

I'm having trouble finding HadCRUT3's absolute temperature, since they simply state "relative to 1961-1990 base period" and refer to a study from 2006, which I skimmed through but couldn't see any reference within dealing with an absolute temperature.

Then again, it wasn't a thorough skim.

And then of course there's UAH.

I'm trying to compile a single graph which I can upload to Flickr that contains all of the monthly data from each set, on the same scale, and a mean of the sets offset for clarity. I understand how to do each, I just need to know what the absolute temperatures are for the base periods. Thanks ahead of time, I might not be spending much more time on here this night.|||I couldn't find them either, but Wood for Trees both plots them together and provides their offsets:

"Here are the means for 1979-1999 for each source, to 2 decimal places:

Source Mean

HADCRUT3 0.15

GISTEMP 0.24

UAH 0.00

RSS 0.00 "

*edit* the Wood for Trees method is an easy way to do it. Just take the average of whatever time period you're plotting for each data set, and subtract it off.|||There are no absolute values per-se and that鈥檚 because different methodologies produce different results. Instead the anomalous values are expressed against a single representative value and in this respect the GISTemp and HadCRUT records both use 14.0掳C. I don鈥檛 know, but I would guess that the UAH / RSS base figure would be similar, and quite likely the same. I doubt if the NCDC has a value that they use.

The calculation of an absolute base figure essentially takes a number of climatologies and calculates an average of those. The CRU for example uses鈥?br>

鈥?Land north of 60掳N

鈥?Land south of 60掳S

鈥?Ocean north of 60掳N

鈥?Ocean south of 60掳S

鈥?Land and ocean between 60掳N and 60掳S

The currently used value of 14.0掳C was the result of research conducted in 1999 by Jones, New, Parker, Martin and Rigor. Prior to this a value of 14.1掳C had been used, this having been derived from research conducted by Taljaard, VanLoon, Cuutcher and Jenne in the southern hemisphere and by Crutcher and Meserve in the northern hemisphere during 1969 and 1970.

This isn鈥檛 particularly satisfactory when wishing to express temperatures against an absolute value (which would only really be absolute in K or R). It鈥檚 not something anyone has ever really given a great deal of thought to as it鈥檚 not something that is needed.

Ultimately, we have something or an arbitrary base figure against which the anomalies are expressed. Given that the anomalies are expressed against a fixed value, they themselves will be accurate but the conversion into an absolute temperature won鈥檛 be as accurate. Different sources use different margins of error for doing this of between 0.1掳C and 0.5掳C.

Which type of Everyday Minerals foundation base controls oil?

semi matte

matte

intensive

which one? i have oily skin and i need to get a base that controls oil and sheen for a long period of time. only annswer this if you have used everyday mineral foundation please.|||I would say the matte and intensive formulas would be the most likely to control oil. I use the intensive formula myself. however if you have very oily skin, I suggest using their rice powder or kaolin powders, these are the finishing dusts made to control oil and such. I personally use the Kaolin powder in soft bronze and it works well for controlling oil for me. hope this helps :]

Are due dates calculated based on last menstrual period?

My last period started on march 7. My cycle is anywhere form 49-70 days. I conceived on April 17 18 or 19. When will my due date be??|||Your due date will be calculated by an ultrasound.|||definitely go by your conception date, it will be much more accurate. Also, at your first u/s scan they will measure and date you that way. That should be pretty accurate and on point with your conception date.|||Doctors will add 10 months to the date of the first day of your last period and then subtract a week to give you an estimated due date. So yours would be around....Dec, 31. There is also a site called babycenter.com that has a calender and you can figure out your estimated due date there as well.|||when ur OB will take a ultrasound she or he could give u a close due date in this case.|||Based on your LMP your due date is approx. 12/12/2008 based on a 28 day cycle.

http://www.askdramy.com/pcalctry.html|||My periods are irregular so my doctor did an ultrasound. I was only six weeks pregnant instead of eight weeks. I would go by your last period until the doctor does an ultrasound to measure the baby.|||yes they go by an estimate on your missed period and then they do an ultrasound to confirm it .. and get an exact time..and ur due date should be around january 17th 2009.. a few days before or after.. Just count 40 weeks from ur conception date :) Congrats girl and hope all goes well :)|||Around January 8th from the days you give for conception. This is 38 weeks from conception because with a normal 28 day cycle it would be 40 weeks from you last period, and conception is 2 weeks after that. But definitely check it out with your doctor, once they do the ultrasound they'll be able to date you much better! Good luck!|||Yes. Your due date is 40 weeks from the first day of your LMP.

My boyfriend is in the army. Is there a waiting period after your license to getting married in the military?

My boyfriend is done with basics and he is in school so, as soon as he has time to, we want to get married. Is there a waiting period after you get your mariage license when your in the military? Would i be able to live on base with him even if i have a dog?|||No. All he needs to do is get premission from his CO to marry you.|||As far as a waiting period, you would have to check with the state you are wanting to get married in, the military doesn't deal with that aspect. Some people even get married in diferent states because of their rules and regulations on marriage and divorce. I would suggest becoming familiar with them first.

As far as your living with him, It depends on the AIT base he is at, if his school is 6 weeks, or something short like that they probably don't allow the wives to move out there, but as soon as he gets to his duty station you are free to move in and I don't know any bases so far that don't allow pets. but I have only been stationed at Bragg, Campbell, and Knox....|||inside base housing they usually have difference sections.

some are for family with pets some with out.

so yes u can have pets on base housing.

lets say u get married today but dont put in the papers in the military till the following month , he will be getting back pay starting the day he got married. so they only waitin u be doin will be how long it takes for the marriage license to get to you in the mail|||He does not need permission to marry you, that was the old army during the WW2 and Vietnam era that required soldiers to get permission from their commanders to get married. Today, a soldier can get married and he is only required to inform his chain of command so he can put his spouse in DEERS.

There is no waiting period after getting married before you can move in with him, his benefits are effective the day you and him tie the knot. There might be a waiting period in the county you are getting married in for getting married after getting your license but you need to get with them about that. Post housing has different rules for each base so you have to get with them about your dog and your boyfriend has to get on a waiting list to get a house which could be from right away to several months. If it is several months and you have to get an apartment while you wait you need to make sure the lease allows you to break it to move on post without a penalty. A lot of soldiers prefer to live off post anyway because they can spend less money on rent and pocket the remaining BAH while the housing on post takes all of their BAH.|||you get your license...then you get married (a courthouse can explain it to you)

after you are married he needs to take your marriage license to his unit and enroll you in DEERS (family medical) and he will have to change his dependant status so he can start collecting BAH. He can apply for on base housing (which you can have up to 2 pets in) but there is usually a waiting list. If you 2 dont want to wait for on base housing he can start collecting housing pay (BAH) and get an apartment off base. Make sure he checks with the off post housing office to see if the apartment complex has a good reputation or not.

If you get married after he graduates from AIT, you will not be able to travel with him to his base yet. You will have to wait until he has filed the necessary paperwork (giving him a copy of your drivers license, birth certificate, and social security card will help with this). Once housing is available or he has found an apartment, then you can move there.|||the only waiting period is the local one. the military has nothing to do with it./ some states require a waiting period of at least 24 hours after you get the license before you can get married.

you will NOT be permitted to live with him while he is in school. whether or not you could get base housing at his first duty station depends on several factors.. if he gets accompanied orders, and if there are any housing units available for his paygrade and BR entitlement. the waiting cast can be 2 years long to get into base housing.|||No pets on base. No waiting period. If you want pets you have to buy housing off base. You can't live with him on base until you're married, either.

edit - NO, you can NOT have pets on base housing. i live onbase|||The waiting period depends on state and local laws, not military. You can get married as soon as the state you apply is allows you to.

You can have pets on base, but you may have to wait for base housing, sometimes there is a waiting list to get on.|||The military has no bearing on wating periods. You must abide by the laws of the state in which you get married. Some have a waiting period, some do not. Check the laws in the state regarding what must be done prior to getting married.

You can live on base with him, even with a dog, as long as you are married and housing is available. Otherwise, you'll be granted BAH to help with rent off base.

My girlfriend is 16 and she has had her period and say thats what she said jokes a lot so i think she is into that stuff. How can i get he to take off her shirt without looking horney?|||just reach out and feel her breast. if she pushes your hand away or pulls back from you. then she is not ready. while your kissing her. if she dose not react. then start to undo the buttons of her shirt. or reach inside the shirt. if she dose not react. keep going until she either stops you or she is topless|||Hahahahaahaha

Well... U need to start off slow... Start touching her neck and kissing her very softly like u mean it and act very very sweet

When she starts getting into it get closer and closer to ur goal lol

And than slightly touch

If she reacts negatively than act like u got carried away and u feel really guilty and apologize

If she doesn't say anything and let's u and she wants it too than u made it to 2nd base! Lol

Wait until you guys are kissing and then go for it. Ask her, "Is this okay?" If she doesn't like it, she'll let you know with her actions/words.|||You don't.

Does a period every month necessarily mean your reproductive system is healthy?

I get my period every month, every 29 days to the day! I have been able to get pregnant once (and give birth), so I was pretty positive that I ovulated regularly. Except I'm not so sure anymore since it seems like every other month I'm dealing with painful ovarian cysts. So my question is, can we REALLY base fertility off of a healthy menstrual cycle? I would love to get pregnant and give birth to a rainbow baby in the future, but I seem to be having lots of issues despite the fact that I get a regular period every month.|||You answered your own question. You have a perfectly normal cycle, but you also have cysts. Cysts can inhibit pregnancy and lower chances of fertility. So no, periods every month do not necessarily guarantee a perfectly healthy reproductive system. Wish it did though!|||not necessarily. fertility has to do with several factors (including weight, blood type, health, age, etc.). having a period pretty much just means you didnt get pregnant that month. my cousin, for example, can no longer have children but still has a normal period every month. getting pregnant doesnt just involve the womans health. the mans sperm has to be healthy enough for the egg to accept it. if you want to know how fertile you are schedule an appointment for a fertility screening with your ob-gyn.|||A regular menstrual period is only an indication of what's going on inside. If it's off or irregular, that's a good sign that something might be wrong, but you said it yourself. You have a regular period, but you have ovarian cysts. So clearly having a regular period is not a perfect indicator.|||No, not at all. I'd say most women who are infertile continue to get a monthly period.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.|||I would wait 2 or 3 weeks - more likely 3 weeks after the unprotected sex.

Breastfeeding doesn't guarantee a safe contraception, discuss the option of the mini pill with your doctor, they are safe when breastfeeding and have less hormones than all the other pills around, but more importantly it can give you the safe guard of any mishaps happening before you are ready.

Also I assume when they say your highest quarter they mean the highest paid per a 3 month period.|||they go back for the last 52 weeks from the date of filing

yes, highest quarter = 3 month consecutive time period|||The most common base year is the first 4 of the last 5 completed calendar quarters. From today, the most recent completed quarter ended March 31st. The first quarter of that base year would be Jan - Mar 2009 and the last would be Oct - Dec 2009 so the base year would be Jan 1 , 2009 - Dec 31, 2009. A few states (CA is one if memory serves) use the first 4 of the last 5 quarters, inclusive of the current quarter. That would make the base year Apr 1, 2009 - Mar 31, 2010.|||For most states your base year is the four calendar quarters not counting the current one when you apply, so would be Oct 09 - Sept 10. When they say "quarter" they mean Jan-Mar, Apr-June, July-Sept, and Oct-Dec, not just ANY three month period.|||If you file in December 2010, then the base year is July 2009 through June 2010.

A base year always ends March 31, June 30, September 30, or December 31. Your base year ends whichever of these dates is at least three months and one day, and not more than six months, before you file.

A base year always begins January 1, April 1, July 1, or October 1. You base year begins whichever of these dates is at least fifteen months, and less than 18 months, before you file.

Your highest quarter is whichever of these three-month periods was the highest paid

Jan-March

April-June

July-Sept

Oct-Dec

Other 3-month periods (such as March-May or Nov-Jan) are not "quarters".

I want to do a Picasso-themed bedroom based on his blue period portraits. Need some advice.?

I want to do a room with a Picasso-blue-period theme. What color blue paint should I use for the walls? Should it be a lighter shade than the blue in his portraits?|||From what I can see of Picasso's blue period paintings, the predominant color is ultraviolet blue with prussian blue. I can't tell you how to do your walls, but would suggest looking at the entire blue period collection. I have provided many links for your perusal. Beware, a lot of darker blues in a room will tend to make it a depressing place to be. It is, however, easy to balance this by using yellow or gold accents to bring light into the scheme. In any case, enjoy your experiment.|||That seems to be a totally personal choice, right?

I'd use a slightly lighter shade of blue, but that would be for me.

And I hope you're not including "emaciated, forlorn figures" in your theme... might get you down! It would me...

I love dark blue, and find it very comforting and not at all depressing, but one of its main properties is that is it sets off really well some of the fiery colours like terracotta reds and oranges if you use them sparingly as a contrast. You could maybe bring in a bit of warmth with some soft furnishings, rugs, duvet cover, cushions etc. in these contrasting colours.

Also a darker blue is very practical as you don't have to repaint it so often!

Just my thoughts...........|||my room is a slightly darker blue...i changing it this fall. I have had the sun %26amp; moon theme for 5 years...and i want a diff theme. I think you should do a light blue or you could paint one wall dark blue and then the rest of the walls a slight light dark blue.|||I LOVE HIS BLUE PERIOD!!!! Choose one blue color for the walls and bedding and window treatments and then the prints would stand out more. You can add different blues for candles, pillow accents, lamps, etc. Congratulations on coming up for such an awesome decorating theme!
