Stochastics with stocks, which period of chart time do I use since different time periods show different stoch?

If I want to use stochastics to determine a good time to purchase a stock which time period should I view the chart in? The reason I am asking this is that when I have it in let's say 3-month chart, the stochastics look completely different then if I have it in 5-day chart. If I am ready to buy stocks today, which stochastics should I base my decision on?|||There is no fixed rule for the time period. But when you choose a period stick to it, it will give you desired results. http://www.TopStockResearch.com/ use most common time period which is (14,3,3) and 80 is overbought and 20 is oversold level. You can adjust these levels according to volatility of the stocks.|||Preferably do not use Stochastics
