Why does the unemployment office not have my base period wages for a job I have worked over 2 years?
The unemployment office sent me a letter denying my benefits because they do not have my payed wages in there system. My job is not a subcontractor payment and I pay taxes weekly on each check.|||Take in your W-2 from 2010, and if you have it, from 2009 too.|||As far as I know the unemployment office works off of data they receive from your employer, not the IRS. Its quite possible your company simply did not report your wages or pay their unemployment taxes. Also possible they might be exempt if the company is small enough.
