Does the "base" period used for UI purposes have to be established with current employer or any job in past yr?

I have only been at my current job for 6 weeks but we are laying off. While I have earned $7000 already, I am not sure if this is long enough to establish unemployment benefits. I have earned in every quarter last year but with different employer. Does this count?|||All employment in the base period counts.
